I can hardly believe that October is almost here. If you follow me on Instagram you may remember seeing this gorgeous cowl back in July. It was a part of a fun little Holiday Bundle and now I’m finally getting the free version up on the blog for you.

The Semper Cowl uses the ultra soft Woolfolk Far worsted weight yarn. Seriously this yarn is THE SOFTEST yarn I’ve ever felt. I picked it up at Stitches West earlier this year and the colors are some of my all time favorites.

I used basic single crochet stitches in a unique way to create a ribbed look. It works up quick and is a great project for the advanced beginner. Feel free to substitute with any of your favorite worsted weight yarns. The color options are endless with this one.

I chose the name Semper because it means “always faithful.” I think this cowl will be a constant in my wardrobe during the Fall and Winter months and I hope it will be for you too. Keep the color neutral so it goes with everything or go for some bold color blocks for a unique accent piece.
