Welcome to MeghanMakesDo. I'm Meghan and I'm so glad you are here.

I have a passion for all things crafty, but I'm especially fond of sewing and crochet. I started my crafty adventures when I was little and my grandma taught me to cross-stitch. I caught the craft bug and I've been sewing and creating ever since. I learned all of my sewing from my mom and we actually used to work together at an alterations shop while I was in high school.

I started crocheting when I was in junior high and my first project was a baby blanket that ended up really warped and wonky. I didn't pick it up again until college and then I never stopped. I've learned so much over the past few years and now I'm starting to write my own patterns which makes me excited and nervous all at once!

I'm a Midwest girl currently living in California with my husband, Steve, and our two crazy kids, Emerson and Emmett.

I used to be a preschool teacher and left my job as an assistant director of a childcare center when we moved to California. I had always wanted to be a stay at home mom and it was perfect timing. It isn't always easy, but I love being able to be with my kids, especially while they are little.

I first met my husband when we were in seventh grade, but we didn't start dating until after college. He has always been one of my best friends and I'm pretty sure he is my biggest fan now. He always encourages me in my business goals and even agreed to let me take up a large part of our 800sqft of living space for my craft & preschool supplies.

I love coffee, good books, music that makes you want to dance, the colors grey and yellow and sunshine.

I started MeghanMakesDo to share my creativity and life with the world. I hope that you can find inspiration every time you visit.
