The Maeve Blanket- Free Knitting Pattern

Let yourself get lost in the beautiful and simple stitches of The Maeve Blanket. This easy beginner friendly blanket is super soft and squishy. Sure to keep you warm all winter long. Scroll down for the free version or grab a digital PDF in my shop.

The Maeve is also available as a complete kit with Lion Brand Yarn. You’ll get all the yarn you need (in the color of your choice) and a digital copy of the pattern.

One of my favorite things about the winter is being able to snuggle up with a mindless project on the couch while binge watching my favorite shows. There is something so comforting being warm and cozy inside, while it’s chilly outside, getting lost in the simple stitches of knitting. The Maeve is that perfect project and it will quickly become your favorite winter make.

If you are new to knitting then this is the perfect project to try. It uses just basic knit and purl stitches to create a soft and squishy texture. Just cast on and let the needles fly! You’ll soon be snuggled up with a beautiful blanket you can cherish for years.

I used Lion Brand Yarn Schitt’s Creek for this blanket and I’m so glad I did. This is such a gorgeous yarn. It is extra soft and has a slight sheen to it which creates beautiful stitch definition. Plus it comes in a variety of colors to choose from. Each skein is packed with 372 yards so you’ll only need 7 skeins total for this throw blanket.

I hope that you love the Maeve as much as I do. I’ve included a tutorial for the beautiful cartridge stitch too and I show how to create the clean finished edges as well. Find it all below.
