I’ve been wanting to create a comfy winter cowl for a while now and knew that it needed to be a bit lighter weight since we don’t get super cold days here in California. The Ashby cowl is the perfect light weight cowl for those breezy California winter days. Made with the ultra soft Red Heart Amore yarn and a 6mm hook it works up fast, making it a perfect last minute gift.

The simple block stitch gives it a gorgeous texture and I’ve included a photo tutorial for it below. This is the first time I’ve used this stitch and now I’m in love! I may already have a few more designs in mine for this one. So grab a couple skeins of yarn and make one today!
