The Molly Headband-Free Crochet Pattern
Looking for a quick, done in a day project? I’ve got you covered with The Molly Headband crochet pattern! Find the free pattern below or grab a digital PDF in my shop.
I just finished up a massive knitting project (The Parker Throw-coming soon) and was in need of a super quick make that I could work up in just one sitting. I like to call these projects my palette cleansers. It gives my hands a bit of a break but gives my brain something fun to do. I’ll just sit down with some stash yarn and a hook and see what happens!
I had some Bernat Softee Cotton in my stash and new it would be perfect for a quick headband. I love using cotton headbands for when I do my morning face care routine(I recently discovered PAUSE skin care and it is amazing!) or for when I want to add a little something extra to my hair style. Since the headband is just a long strip it can be worn a variety of ways.
The Molly features a cute little granny square center and front loop only single crochet chevrons for the band. Grab your favorite cotton yarn and make one today!
The Molly Headband Crochet Pattern
Materials:
85 yards of Bernat Softee Cotton yarn in the color Feather Grey (or any DK weight yarn. Using a lighter weight yarn will make a slightly smaller headband. Using a heavier weight yarn will make a slightly larger headband.)
US size F(3.75mm) crochet hook (or hook needed to obtain gauge)
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Gauge:
Granny square will measure approx. 2.5” after round 2. (gauge is not essential so if your square is slightly smaller or larger it will still work.)
Size:
Finished size is approx. 2.5” wide and 32.5” long.
Notes:
Headband is made by working a small granny square in turned rounds, then adding rows of sc FLO chevrons to either side.
The headband can easily be adjusted by increasing or decreasing rows. You can also using lighter weight yarn for a slightly smaller width headband. Or use a heavier weight yarn for a thicker headband.
The band will stretch when worn.

P.S. I have been loving how my skin feels after using PAUSE Well-Aging products for the past few weeks. My skin is softer and smoother plus the Facia Stimulating Tool has helped make my skin glow. It also works great as a little hand massager after long sessions of crocheting or knitting. If you want to try it out for yourself you can use code: MEGHAN15 for 15%
