Say hello to The Maverick Blanket crochet pattern! Maverick is the sister design to the knit Maeve Blanket. Both blankets feature a rib like design that is easy to make and great for beginners.
The Maverick features a simple two row repeat and is worked in the back loop only throughout. This creates a beautiful and modern ribbed like texture that is super warm and cozy. If you can half double crochet and double crochet then you can make the Maverick! It’s a totally mindless project which is great for when you just want to chill out with your favorite show and crochet.
Made with the ultra soft Schitt’s Creek yarn you’ll want to make one in every color they have. Special thanks to Lion Brand Yarn for providing yarn support for this project. The Maverick Blanket Crochet Pattern
Materials:
3,250 yards (9 skeins) of Lion Brand Schitt’s Creek yarn in the color Rose Apothecary or similar worsted weight yarn
Tapestry needle
Scissors
Abbreviations:
ch(s)- chain(s)
st(s)- stitch(es)
fhdc- foundation half double crochet
hdc- half double crochet
dc- double crochet
BLO- back loop only

1.Pattern is worked in one piece.
2.Ch(s) at beginning of rows do(es) not count as a stitch.
3.All stitches are worked in the back loop only (BLO) starting with Row 2.
Gauge:
16 sts and 9.5 rows in pattern stitch= 4” square.
Use Rows 1-10 for gauge.
Size: one size
Finished blanket will measure approx. 56.25” X 66”

Pattern:
Row 1: fhdc 225, turn. (225)
Row 2: ch 2, dc BLO in each st across, turn. (225)
Row 3: ch 1, hdc BLO in each st across, turn. (225)
Rows 4- 157: repeat Rows 2 & 3. (225)
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
