I am thrilled to be bringing you a brand new crochet pattern today. I’ve been sneaking a few peeks at this rug over on my Instagram and am so happy to finally be showing you the completed piece.
I’ve been wanting to try a circle rug ever since I made the Elio Rug last year. I knew I wanted it to have some texture while still being soft and squishy so when I came across the Lazy Days yarn from Lion Brand I knew it was perfect. Lazy days is a chainette style yarn that is stuffed with fiber fill so it durable while also being soft to the touch. Plus it is machine washable and can also go in the dryer, making it easy to keep your rug nice and clean.
I used two strands held together throughout to create a thicker rug that will hold up over time. I’ve also included photo tutorials for all the special stitches along with a video tutorial that is perfect for watching while you follow along with the written pattern.
The rug will end up being approximately 31” wide, but you can always grab a few more skeins of yarn and continue the pattern to get an even larger rug to suit your needs.
I hope you will love making this rug as much as I did.
