The Andie Top- A Free Crochet Pattern with Make And Do Crew
I am beyond excited to finally be able to share my latest garment design with you today! I’ve been working on this one behind the scenes since the beginning of the year and I’ve been dying to show it off. I am so honored to be featured on the Make and Do Crew Blog and can’t wait to start seeing all your Andie Tops.
***The Andie Top is available as an Ad-Free PDF in my shop, on Etsy or Ravelry. The PDF is 16 full color pages with instructions and photo tutorials for all special stitches and techniques. Pattern is written for sizes XS-3XL.***
The idea for The Andie Top came from my love to sewing and fabrics. I love being able to manipulate fabrics to create flowy garments and wanted to try to recreate the looks I love in crochet. The Andie was made to flatter all figures by creating little “gathers” on the front. I know for me, when I make a crochet garment I like to have a little bit more room around the middle and the Andie does just that! The pattern is for sizes XS-3XL, but can easily be adjusted to get just the right fit.
The name Andie means courage. I think the name is a perfect fit for this design, because it took me a lot of courage to put myself out there and design a garment. I learned so much from designing this pattern and it’s given me a bit more confidence to continue to tackle garment patterns this year. I couldn’t have done it without my incredible testers. They helped me figure out all the tricky parts like sizing and really stepped up and delivered. Take a look at some of their amazing Andies below.
